DMCA & Copyright Takedown
Last updated: November 6, 2026
ImgRemix AI respects copyright. If you believe content generated or hosted on this site infringes your copyright, you can ask us to remove it by sending a DMCA takedown notice. If you believe your content was removed by mistake, you can send a counter-notice.
1. How to file a takedown notice
Send your notice by email to [email protected]. Note: this is a placeholder address. The site owner must replace it with a real DMCA contact address before launch — notices sent to this address will not be received.
Your notice must include:
- Identification of the copyrighted work you claim was infringed (a description, or a link to the original work).
- Identification of the infringing material on our site — the URL of the page or image, and enough detail for us to find it.
- Your name, email address, and mailing address so we can contact you.
- A statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
- A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on the owner's behalf.
- Your physical or electronic signature.
2. What happens next
We review notices on receipt. If a notice is complete, we remove or disable access to the identified material. We may also notify the user who uploaded the material, and repeat infringers may have their accounts closed. Incomplete notices may be returned for more information.
3. Counter-notice
If your content was removed and you believe the removal was a mistake or a misidentification, you may send a counter-notice to the same address, including: identification of the removed material and its former URL; a statement, under penalty of perjury, that you have a good-faith belief the material was removed by mistake; your name, address, and email; a statement consenting to the jurisdiction of the courts in your area; and your signature. We may restore the material after 10–14 business days unless the original complainant tells us they have filed a court action.
4. Misuse
Knowingly making a false claim in a takedown notice or a counter-notice can expose you to legal liability. Please only file notices for material you genuinely believe infringes your rights.
5. Automated screening
As a separate measure, uploads and prompts are screened by an automated keyword blocklist for unlawful or harmful content. This is an automated check only — we do not promise human review of uploads.
